A busy section of the Club is the Junior Race Training Programme, which is run by some of the highest qualified coaches in the UK. Former and current trainees have been fed through to the Scottish and British teams at Children, Junior and Senior levels, with major success in both snow and mat championships.
At Glasgow Ski and Snowboard centre we work to help children develop the solid fundamentals that they will need to flourish in race training; joining too early can cause problems further down the journey and we do not believe in rushing children into training before they are ready. If you are specifically interested in racing please let your instructor know; our instructors will not presume as competition is not for everyone.
Race training runs in three block through the year; weekly August to December, January to April and our bespoke summer programme. As well as a full training programme at our Club, we offer a very busy race calendar from Summer to Christmas, which includes school's races for all levels.
In between blocks of training we run a GSR October Alpine Training Camp in Tignes, along with further training camps and race support to compliment all the major Alpine Race events in the British Calendar, including the Anglo Scottish races at Christmas, the English Championships in February and the British Championships in March/April
