COMPETITIONS
2025/2026

Friday 12th December 2025 (Freestyle)
Saturday 13th December 2025 (Racing)

This is the first of the two Club Championship events of the year. Open only to members of Glasgow Ski & Snowboard Centre Club. A straight knockout event from U8s up to the veteran category, there is an event for everyone. To add to the fun we have a mixed pairs event and the Family Bonspiel event which is the highlight of the day.
This event is an individual competition which will also score points for your school (Primary & Secondary). Entries must be competent skiers who are able to ski confidently down the main slope at Bella (Level 4 Skiers & above)
Participants will have two timed runs in a Slalom Course and two timed runs in a GS Course. The best time from each course is added together to give an overall time. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Boy or Girl in each Category.

The GSR Summer Medal competition is open to racers of all ages and offers mainly individual times runs, with a team event to finish. Skiers have 2 times runs on three different courses and their best time on each course counts for their final ranking in their age and gender category. Racers can elect to join a team (see conditions below) and teams are ranked based upon their best combined time.

The South of Clyde Championships is an individual knock-out dual slalom event for all age categories. All racers compete in specific age categories and then there are opportunities to race in pairs, triples and then the team event. A fantastic event with very different prizes, prize money for the overall winner!

This event is possibly one of the best opportunities for primary and secondary school pupils to have their first go at school ski racing at their local dry slope. Schools bring teams of 4 racers (or 5 is brining a swappable reserve) and each team races head - to - head against other schools on parallel slalom courses, in a relay race. It fun, fast and furious.
The GSR Bairns Race is an ideal entry - level race, with both individual and team races. Teams comprise of 5 racers which must include at least one girl. Teams will race each other in a league competition. Individual dual slalom races are by gender and offer a plate competition after the first round of races. Lots of racing in this event.
