May Up-Date

We hope you are safe, healthy, and enjoying this time. Lockdown is not the same for everyone and even the easiest time will have had difficulties, we hope you are staying happy throughout.

As you know the Club closed on the 20th March, our staff have been furloughed and our main aim is to ensure the wellbeing of our staff and the facility. The support of the membership at this time is invaluable and we thank you for the support you have shown.

We are very much looking forward to getting back to the slopes. Our initial plan would be for the staff to return to the Club mid-June, allowing us time to communicate our plans for the summer school and the lessons we have banked, ready to open in July. If this becomes an unrealistic timeframe, we will revise and keep you updated. On return to the Club it will be important to consider the following precautions and safety measures –

  1. Social distancing of 2m apart will be very difficult to sustain, this must be maintained to the best of your ability and at the very least everyone will require to be diligent in observing the personal space of others. No hugging, shaking hands or getting to physically close to anyone.

  2. Washing hands on a regular basis and always after using the WC.

  3. If feeling unwell we would ask customers and staff to stay at home.

  4. Steps to avoid Coughing and sneezing in company must be taken, customers and staff will require to move outside, move to the WC, use a tissue, wash hands immediately, do their best to appreciate this is no longer an acceptable action, without effort to avoid.

  5. GLOVES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.

  6. Use of the café will be kept to a minimum, collecting “take out” drinks and snacks, eating outside (weather permittable), going for a walk while waiting for the children to finish training or sitting in the car while waiting.

  7. Leaving plenty of time to access the ski store for changing, we will stagger the numbers using the store at any one time.

  8. Entry into the building will be limited from the doorway, allowing time for customers to pass through the other side and onto the slopes before more people will have access. One Entrance & Exit.

  9. All equipment will be disinfected after every use and customers are encouraged to purchase their own helmets.

  10. Customers can check into their lessons while being kitted out in the ski store, avoiding any queues building up at the office/reception.

  11. The Centre will have shorter opening times as we go through a staged re-opening.

  12.  Appropriate signage and guidance will be displayed throughout the building.

  13. There will be an increase in waste facilities throughout the building.

The Club will be providing more sanitiser units throughout the building, we will increase the cleaning schedule within the building and on the slopes. Tow’s will be disinfected on a regular basis as will all door handles, work surfaces and equipment. We will be reducing the numbers on the slopes and in classes, in order to follow the above guidelines.

These are the current suggestions for coming back to the Club, we do not expect this will be the case forever and if we comply, hopefully returning to skiing will be a safe enjoyable activity even with the restrictions.

Take care and see you soon.
