The Ski Club has now been open for 3 weeks and from Monday 17th May 2021, we are moving to Level 2 restrictions. This bulletin details what those restrictions will look like for the Club during the next period of relaxation. During this pandemic, we have been under strict guidelines in order to control numbers within the facility, including on the slope and around the building. This is something that we intend to continue controlling in order for the Club to remain a safe environment for staff and customers. We ask that our members and customers respect our decisions to manage numbers moving through the facility, and the restrictions this will impose. BAR/CAFE The bar/cafe will open from Monday 17th May for take out only. The reason for this is purely to help the Club control the number of people within the grounds of the facility, and the numbers inside the building. We ask that only one person from each party/family come inside and order tea/coffee at a time. Spectating Spectating will be restricted to one person for each party/family, accessing the grounds to watch, and everyone else will be asked to remain in the car park area. Customers will continue to be checked in from the car park, with only one other person allowed in to spectate or access the cafe. Birthday Parties Birthday Parties will continue to be offered on an activity basis only, with no access to the hobbit hut and food, until further notice. Maximum numbers may increase slightly, and parents will require to drop off and collect, without accessing the facility. In staying with these restrictions for a period longer the Club will achieve the following - 1. Keeping numbers within the building within capacity. 2. Controlling numbers in the ski store during lesson changeover. 3. Keeping the number of people within the facility in one full day below the maximum. 4. Ensuring staff and customers do not feel overwhelmed by mass change too quickly. 5. Surface contact and use of toilets are kept to a minimum. 6. Queues cannot form at pinch points, like the office, bar and store room. All of these decisions are made with the full support of the staff, and will be reviewed regularly to improve the quality of experience here at the Glasgow Ski Centre Club. We thank you all for supporting our detailed return to sport. SUMMER CAMPS 2021 - Summer camps are now open to members and non-members for booking, places are going fast.
