Open Weekend Details

The Summer programme is well over half way already, and we are now thinking of the new season ahead. We are delighted to share the details of the Open Weekend, on the 21/22 August. Once again this will be an arm chair event, which you can book online or by telephone. Our Open Weekend signifies the start of our new season, this is when we launch the lesson programme for the year ahead, and we offer discounts on our group/private lessons and membership.

We are also offering Taster Ski & Snowboard Lessons over this weekend, for beginners only, no other level. This can be booked from today on the link below. The taster sessions are £5 per person, and offer a 45 minute Ski or Snowboard lesson followed by a 30 minute tubing session. The taster session is a package, only those booking the taster Ski or S/B Lesson will be able to do the tubing session after.

The Open Weekend allows members to book lessons, and offers 15% discounts on lessons booked, vouchers purchased and memberships paid. Discounts are available only throughout this weekend, we don't continue the discount past the deadline. Booking lessons online will be available between the hours of 8am Saturday 21st August, and finishing 12 midnight, on Sunday 22nd August. To book lessons please either book online or call the office to book over this weekend, we are limiting access to the facility in person, to those booked for taster sessions. When booking lessons online payment will be due for that initial block, anyone wishing to bulk buy vouchers for the remainder of the winter at the discounted price will require to call the office to purchase. This applies to members only, non-members can purchase the vouchers online through voucher cart, however to establish membership prices, you are required to call the office.

SLOPE REPAIR This is just a reminder that the main slope will be undergoing some major work between the 16th August and the 3rd September. For three weeks the main slope will be closed for slope resurfacing. There will be some limited access to the other slopes throughout this time, please check the website for booking practice sessions. As this is generally a quiet time for us, we will be cleaning the other slopes throughout this period which will limit access at times. We apologise for any inconvenience, however the outcome is a great surface for all to ski. Covid restrictions As we move to a more positive phase of COVID restrictions, the protection level system will remain available should there be a change in circumstances. We have detailed any changes below and hope for your continued support in how we are managing our way out of these times. Our aim is for the Club to remain a safe environment for staff and customers. . Lesson Check In We will continue to register customers arrival from the front door, children are asked to navigate through the ski store with the help of the staff, unless they are beginners or extremely young and inexperienced. The Ski Store has become a much calmer place to get kitted out, children are learning more and the whole experience is safer and more enjoyable. Once children/customers are ready and on the slopes, parents can then access the Café/Bar. Children will then be collected back outside after the lessons are finished. BAR/CAFE The bar/café will fully re-open from Saturday 4th September. Customers are asked to be seated in the café, and remain 1 metre apart from others unless close family members. Track and Trace will be required at each table using the app. The menu will be drinks, snacks and panini/sandwiches to begin with and we will assess this weekly. As the café has been closed since March 2020, we will remain cautious in our approach in order to support our staff through this re-opening process. Spectating Spectating will be increased to two person's for each party/family accessing the grounds to watch, and anyone else will be asked to remain in the car park area. We appreciate things are improving, however there still requires to be a baseline of measures retained in order to mitigate ongoing risks of transmission. We are not yet returning to access all areas! The Club will continue to embrace the following - 1. Wear Face coverings inside the building. 2. Maintain and promote good ventilation. 3. Use good hand and respiratory hygiene and cleaning surfaces. 4. Maintain physical distancing inside the building. 5. Surface contact and use of toilets are kept to a minimum. 6. Queues cannot form at pinch points, like the office, bar and store room.
