⛷ CLOSED 18.03.21

Dear Members, customers and staff, Please see the statement below received today (18.03.21) from the governing body Snowsport Scotland. Following the Scottish Government up-date on Tuesday (16.03.21), Glasgow Ski & Snowboard Centre remains CLOSED. Dear Customer, we are shocked to hear the news that we are unable to open prior to 26 April 2021. Please accept our apologies for this and be assured there was a very strong case presented to the government for artificial Clubs to re-open. We planned the Easter Camps with the best of intention, trying to prepare for a re-opening date that looked positive and realistic. Sadly this was not to be the case and due to this further set back, we will be making our staff available next week to offer our customers clarity on their bookings with us. Staff will be going into the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week 22,23,24 March from 10am - 12noon. We will be in the office in order to either relocate or refund bookings. Please be patient with us, as this may take some time. We cannot accept further bookings at this time. We thank you for your patience and support throughout this difficult time. We continue to answer your calls by re-directing the Club number to an appropriate mobile. Please note this service is not monitored 24 hours. We will e-mail everyone who has booked Easter Camp to explain the situation and the way forward, if anyone requires to speak to us please do, we will help to resolve any issues the best we can. Otherwise we will be in touch nearer to our release day with our plans. Happy Easter to our Snowsport community. Julie & Staff "Dear Snowsport Clubs, Centres and Community Following the First Minister’s update on the 16/3, Snowsport Scotland has requested further clarification on how the covid route map changes may affect the current restrictions requiring Snowsport centres to be closed. We have now received confirmation from the Scottish Government that the indicative date for all Snowsports centres to re-open is the 26th April, subject to final confirmation. As I am sure most of you are aware, we are disappointed with the decision that has been made by the Scottish Government regarding the re-opening of centres, given the resumption of many other outdoor non-contact sports. Snowsport Scotland want nothing more than for centres to re-open and to get everyone skiing again, however this is not currently possible within the guidelines and as a responsible governing body we need to follow/ support the public health approach. We will continue to work hard with our partners at sport Scotland and the Scottish Government and to make the case for further support for our centres and clubs.

We encourage you to share the below website news item link, with the above information, with your club members:"
